Delete it in the app

This is the quickest way, and it takes effect straight away:

Open The Gear Cabinet and sign in.
Go to the Account tab.
Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account.
Confirm. You're signed out, and your account is gone.

Or ask us by email

If you can't use the app, email privacy@thegearcabinet.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete it within one month and let you know when it's done.

What is deleted

Your account and email address, and your password if you set one
All the gear in your cabinet, with its prices, dates, places, conditions, serial numbers and notes
All your gear photos
Cameras and lenses you added yourself
Barcodes you saved
Your optional details: name, location, style and preferred currency

What is kept

Maker names you added stay in the shared list of makers, with no link to you.
Copies in our providers' backups and security logs are deleted on their normal schedule, usually within 30 days.

Guest cabinets

A guest cabinet is stored only on your device, so we never had it. To remove it, use Delete guest data on the Account tab, or uninstall the app.
